The Social Entrepreneurship Atlas

Sample content — a living map of social entrepreneurs that shortens the path to resources.

Role: Founder & strategy leadThe Social Entrepreneurship Atlas

Context

Social entrepreneurs in Iran often work in isolation, with little visibility into one another's work.

Problem

The lack of a shared map causes duplicated effort, isolation, and missed collaboration.

Insight

What these founders needed most wasn't capital first — it was visibility and connection to peers.

Vision

A living, open map where every social entrepreneur can register themselves and be found.

Strategy

Start with a small core community, build trust, and grow the map gradually rather than forcing early scale.

Process

Founder interviews, designing a taxonomy of impact areas, and shipping a usable first version within weeks.

My role

Defined the vision, led a small delivery team, and designed the initial user experience.

Team

A small team of one product designer and one developer, with volunteer input from several founders.

Design & technology

A lightweight web platform focused on searchability and easy self-registration.

Challenges

Convincing founders to share information without an established track record for the platform.

Solution

Seeding the map with known, trusted figures in the community as the first entries.

Outputs

A first version of the map and a self-serve registration flow for founders.

Verified results

Pending — measurable results will be added via the CMS after public launch.
